Megan Lott, L.Ac

As a licensed practitioner of Oriental Medicine,  I strive to create a nurturing and peaceful space, incorporating ancient Chinese Medicine with bodywork, yoga techniques, nutritional therapy and guided meditation.  Inspired by the healing properties of food, I encourage my patients to take an active role in their healing by equipping them with recipes and cooking strategies.

I earned my Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM in 2007.  I am board certified by the NCCAOM in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology  and am a Licensed Acupuncturist in Colorado.   In Santa Fe I ran a small women's health Acupuncture clinic and worked as a supervising physician at Luz De Vida, a holistic pain management clinic in Española.  Since moving to Durango in 2011 with my husband and two daughters I have maintained a private practice with an emphasis on the treatment of pain and women's health.  I love playing in the mountains and rivers and try to get as much time as possible on my paddleboard in the summer.

After 17 years of practice, I completed a nine month, 200 hour yoga teacher training with Sean Tebor at the Dragon Rising studio in Santa Fe, NM.  I wanted to offer my patients tools and techniques to help them identify personal patterns in order to enhance their treatments.  This training involved a rigorous curriculum delving deep into the study of myofascial trains, proper joint function, core anatomy, meridian pathways and breathing techniques.  The result is a very conscious and considerate   yoga that is deeply healing, safe and functional to the body.  I have always felt that yoga was the perfect way to move qi and release tension outside of the treatment room and am grateful to enrich my practice with these new found tools. I am honored to share them as an instructor at YogaDurango.
